Friday The 13th Part 2
5 years after the first tragic incidents back in 1979, a new camp has been opened across the lake from the infamous 'Camp Blood' (Camp Crystal Lake). And it has the same fate, being stalked by an unknown assailant. Is it Mrs. Voorhees' son Jason, who did not really drown in the lake some 30 years before?

a carbon copy sequelMarch 05, 2009
Not as good as the original, but still pretty fun, it serves up more of the same and continued to be fresh enough before its many other sequels got too silly.March 19, 2015
...ultimately right in line with its passable yet far-from-memorable predecessor.February 20, 2009
Perhaps the least interesting of all the Friday the 13th films, since it tries to be a "sequel" to the first film, referencing themes and storylines.June 12, 2009
The new camp counselors are interchangeable with the old ones. Different faces, same basic people.February 12, 2009
Even crude techniques, when properly employed, can be effective, in a lowest-common-denominator kind of way.January 17, 2008
Its general competence remains a surprising improvement, albeit not one strong enough to elevate it into the realm of recommendation.January 09, 2017
Yes, it's a cheesy slasher film, but you know that going in, and this is a well-done example of the genre.October 09, 2008
A solid first sequel and the truly chilling jump scare at the end gives the original's a run for its money.
